[snafuu] EDID-specified maximum 1024

i was trying to raise my resolution a notch from 1024x768 to 1152x864.
i used top run this all the time, but the new X server does not seem to 
want to do this.



(WW) NVIDIA(0): Not using mode "1152x864" (width 1152 is larger than
(WW) NVIDIA(0):      EDID-specified maximum 1024

Xsever is 4.3.0 with nvidia driver.
can i bypass this?
