OK. Thanks for clarifying that (ie both Geoff and Stephen). Seriously
they might as well not have bothered with this FAQ page any more. Even
with wired headphones, I had to fiddle with the wire, maneuver it a
certain way etc to get some reasonable reception. If only they'd at
least give us the option of removing such none too useful
built-in/bundled apps from the device entirely and freeing up space!

was a compression system used for high quality stereo, it also allowed remote
control of devices via return signalling. (You can use a Bluetooth device to

Like most Kepsys instructions the FAQ answer is disappointing. You will need a
good quality earbud to listen to good quality sound; but the phone can’t
provide the signal without an antenna connected to the FM receiver. It might as
well suggested you would need eardrums for all the help it provided.
My information is almost 20 years old now and may well be out of date, or A2DP
may refer to something else,

P.S. iPhones don’t have an audio jack, does anyone know if they can receive FM?
If so I assume they have a built in antenna.

What you posted from the manually is incorrect! You need a antenna and that is
what the wire for the headset does. A Bluetooth headset doesn't act as the
antenna. Yes you can listen to music and internet connects stuff over a
bluetooth headset but not a local FM station.

SmartVision2 FM radio. Someone seemed to indicate in a reply that listening to
the radio via bluetooth headphones wouldn't work - that it needs to be wired
headphones; yet the FAQ on the Kapsys site indicates

Yes, it is possible to pair a Bluetooth headset with SmartVision2 to make and
receive calls. To do this, you must activate the Bluetooth

the model of the headset you want to connect and press "OK" to pair and then enter the pin code (by
default the pin code is often "0000" or "1234").
Warning: if you also want to listen to music, the radio or listen to the speech synthesis

So, has anyone tried the FM radio with a compatible bluetooth headset then (ie
with this Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), and does it work? (I wasn't
sure if the person replying to my query on this before was indicating they
weren't aware of the requirement for the bluetooth headset to have that
specification, or whether they had tried it and couldn't get it working even
with that type of headset?) I tried it with Bose Frames, which I'm assuming
don't have this specification any way, and/or technically, aren't
treated/classed as headphones, but rather sunglasses equipped with audio. I
have successfully used the Bose frames for a podcast and the phone's web radio,
and it worked for calls.
Disappointingly, however, after downloading and installing the Bose Connect app
(which has extra functionality such as updating of firmware and setting up
Voice Assistant etc), I found the app is riddled with unlabeled buttons!
