Yes you should turn off and on your phone once a week or so if not more often.
This helps keep things cleaned up in memory.

It was the Google Assistant that I meant, thank you for explaining the
difference. Turning the phone off and on has fixed the

Do you actually mean TalkBack which is the screenreader? Or do you mean the
Google assistant which answers you?
The latter is often due to inadequate WiFi or 4G signal. Restart the phone, and
make sure it hasn't accidentally been put into
Airplane mode. This is found in the notification shade/control centre, by
pressing hash and 3.
