Myself, I use an Samsung Galaxy S10E as my main phone now days. I also use an
Bluetooth keyboard I got off of Amazon for $20 USD for when I need to type more
than a few characters. I also use an Rivo2 some only when I'm at work and I
want to connect my phone to my mixer board so I don't need to pick up my cell
phone and everything feeds through the same headphones I use for the mixer. 1
cell phone, 3 computers, desk phone, VR Stream and my normal standalone
microphone that I use for both the cell phone and desk phone.

Thanks Dennis again. Yes, I'm aware of the Rivo2 keyboard; but what about the
Blackberry - that is an Android-based device and has its own physical keyboard
(except it's an alphanumberic keyboard)? Anyone had experience with those? (And
yes it may well be off-topic for this list, but then Kapsys haven't exactly
been in a hurry to address the long overdue issues with their product, so just
investigating further potential options...) In any case, if anyone wants to
share insights off list, that's fine with me.

use. They really screwed the user. It sounds like your outgrowing your
Smart Vision2 which is awesome. If you want a physical button phone Look at
a Rivo2 and a new phone such as another android or iPhone.

Subject: [smartvisionau] Thanks for help/responses re my query re
browsing with Chrome - and now a music player question
Hi,
Firstly, thanks to both Dennis and Stephen for recent replies re browsing
with Chrome. Just adding to this, I even tried the keyboard shortcut hash
with 9, which brought up the local context menu, but this too, even selecting
the navigation settings in Chrome, was of no use when I selected links. I
have since downloaded and installed the iHeart radio/podcast app, managed to
save and play RTRFM without the buffering I was getting in the SmartVision2's
web radio, though the app does have several other buttons which are
unlabeled, and annoying advertising clutter, which I brought to the
developers' attention via a review I left on the Google playstore.
So now I'm wondering about others' recommendations for media players
which are better/more accessible than the Play Music app - in
particular, with controls for skipping forward or back through the
file I'm listening to. (And these are just files I've copied over to
the
SmartVision2 from my computer - I haven't even attempted downloading podcasts
in Play Music, but still I can't jump forward or back through the file I'm
listening to!) Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Regards
Vivien
