Try this instead! Turn off Mobile data and Wi-Fi and then double tap and hold
the widget that you want to remove. Then using the
Up/Down keys to get to the Remove/Delete. I found this works for a lot of
things being there isn't an data connection; It causes ta
different screen to come up. I had an hard time with the Netatmo App when I
added some of my personal weather stations sensors to
the home screen. If I had any type of data enabled, I couldn't remove the
widget. But when I turned off Wi-Fi and Mobile Data then I
was able to double tap and hold the widget and when I got the next screen, I
was able to remove the widget.

Hi Rhonda,
Some widgets are really weird and very hard to remove. In this case you have to
reset the home screen.
For that, you have to :
. Open Settings applications
. Select "Apps"
. Press MENU
. Select "Show system"
. Select on the list "Home Screen" (you can type the text with the
keypad)
. Select "Storage"
. Select "Clear data"
This will reset the home screen and display the default template
(Applications/Phone/Contact/Messaging)"

Hi all
I want to remove the gmail widget but can't find instructions on how to do it
on the Smartvision.
I tried the press and hold as you do to remove an app from home screen but that
does not work for the widget.
I have also tried to find it in the apps in settings but can't find it there
either.
Any help to get rid of it would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Rhonda
