I've just tried setting a ringtone, and the instructions you passed on were
spot on. I didn't complete the process though as the sound I'd chosen for
one of my test ringtones got a bit compressed, so I'll try with a piece of
music over the weekend and see if I can get the process to it's final
conclusion.
Thank you again for the instructions in the e-mail I'm replying to, as I
couldnt find them in the User Guide when I read it.

Yes in both cases! However if you are wanting to copy over MP3, WAV or
some other type of sound effect to the pone! You need to put them into a
folder called Ringtones on the memory card or the phone memory. After
that, then you would be able to use them for ring tones for different

from it. Then below that there is an 2nd paste telling how to assign aring

* Ringtone: allows you to set the ringtone of the event.
Good to know: You can add your own event ringtones in SmartVision2. To do
this, connect SmartVision2to your computer via the USB cable.
SmartVision2is recognized as an external storage space. Open the
"SmartVision2" folder and then "Internal Storage Memory" to access the
phone's memory. Copy your event ringtones in MP3 format into the
"Ringtones" folder. Your ringtones will then be available in the ringtones
and will be identified with the title of the MP3 file.the

Close to a hundred ringtones are present in the SmartVision2.
To change the ringtone, select Settings", "Sound & Notification", "Device
settings button from the General profile, then "Phone ringtone". Select
ringtone you want to use from the list and confirm by selecting the "OK"contact

If you want to associate a specific ringtone to a contact, open the

Hi all,
On another list, there has recently been talk of the method for adding
Ringtones to another smartphone, but it got me thinking about adding
ringtones to the Kapsys Smartvision 2.
I've had a good look at the User Guide for the SmartVision 2, and
although there is reference to the number of tones already in the
phone, I don't
any reference to a method for adding personally created ringtones. Iwould
have thought that as the Smartvision 2 can connect to a computer, itwould
be possible to add personally created ringtones to the phone and
assign them to particular contacts.
Am I dreaming of something which isn't possible, or is what I'm
describing possible to do, but not covered in the user guide, or have
I missed the relevant part of the user guide?
