Thanks, Sam. I came back to it after leaving it plugged in for around half an hour, and even though I had no vibration after holding the power button, seemingly out of the blue the chime came on and it's working now! (I had already charged the battery earlier in the day, and certainly hadn't used it enough to deplete it completely before this happened, but perhaps it still responded positively to being left alone plugged into power!) {wry smile}

Hi Vivien,

Generally the SmartVision won't power down unless you specify the power off option from the menu that appears when you hold the power button, unless its battery is depleted.

If the power button is not functioning I would try:

1. Plugging in the device, leave it for 5-10 minutes and see if you can power the device on.
2. if this does not work, remove and re-insert the battery and try powering on again.

Hi list,

I didn't realise I probably already had my SmartVision2 turned on, but just the screen off, so was holding down the power button to power it up, then realised I probably just had the screen off, and now I can't get it working! (And this at a time when we're still adjusting to the NBN and our new landline phone!) Help please...

Regards
Vivien
