I guess what I've been worried about is just a connection not a sound
card. It's HDMI sound on this computer.

The other thing that I cannot understand is that I have a Kensington Expert
Trackball mouse, it's the most comfortable mouse I've ever seen or used.
In Slint, when I use any browser, when I open an Internet site, the windows
keep scrolling even though I'm not moving the mouse or the scroll dial. I
solved that problem, I swapped my Microsoft mouse with the Kensington
Expert mouse and put the Kensington Expert Mouse on the Debian computer and
it doesn't scroll the windows. I don't know why, but it is fine on Debian.

I could not install any other way except to move all my /home files to
another drive then format /dev/sda and use the complete drive.
I'm totally confused when it comes to EFI. I remember I made a mess out
of things once or twice.
I'm guessing that each installed system needs a separate EFI partition or
file, as I said, I'm totally confused by EFI.

Prefer "export LANG=en_US.utf8". Some applications may misbehave if you

The suggestion / or perhaps error - is that update-grub should be runby the
installer.
update-grub is indeed run by the installer, else the installed system
would have
no GRUB menu so you could not boot.
Even though the Slint installer doesn't seem to allow installing onpartitions
on a hard drive, it does permit installing on a secondary (or other)hard drive.
Yes the installer allows installing on a partition of a hard drive shared
with
other systems (I have to do that having several systems on the same
drive, but
with some strict requirements stated in the HandBook in
https://slint.fr/en/HandBook.html#prepare_partitions_for_Slint ;(chapter

In addition the Manual partitioning mode require on the same drive as the

system partition:

I assume that you did not have an EFI partition on the same drive as the

I have Windows on /dev/sda and I installed Slint on /dev/sdb.that it
When I booted into Slint, everything went OK but my grub wasn't set so
recognized Windows on /dev/sda.
Running "update-grub" solved that issue.
Could be because during installation update-grub is run through a chroot
into
the installed system. I will investigate.
