I thought I have completed this answer but am not skilled at using a phone for
emailing, so I will add this:
1. Please post output of these commands (the second command is all on the same
line even if cut by the email program)
parted -s /dev/<drivename> unit GiB print free
lsblk -lpo name,size,fssize,fsused,fsuse%,parttypename,fstype /dev/drivename
2. Even is there is not a big enough free space or unused partition on the
internal drive but the last partition has an file system of type btrfs or ext4
and can be shrink-ed to free enough space it is still possible to copy the
system there.
