Hello,
if you don't want that slapt-get replace a custom package that you
installed by an "official" one, you need to blacklist it in
/etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc, or maintain locally a custom repository for
which you'd add a SOURCE line in the same file with the priority CUSTOM.
Cheers,
Didier

Thanks;
I added the packages as directed, but, instead of using 'installpkg', for the
firefox, I used 'upgradepkg', to install it. Just now, I attempted a system
upgrade with
slapt-get --update
and
slapt-get --upgrade
The system wanted to upgrade the firefox. I didn't look at what the next
version would be, but, it's probably not version 79. Maybe this has
something to do with the precedence of the repos? The firefox 78 was
installed after running the
latest-firefox
script and upgrading with the resulting package.
Thanks,
-Dave
