Brasero can make a copy of an actual CD/DVD or create an image file instead.
The same seems to be possible for Blu-ray discs, I make it on Devuan chimaera,
but while trying play it from already obtained iso image there is no audio.
I started this Blu-ray iso image creation on Slint and then I got this message
about readom app that's why I mentioned about it in my initial message.
I will try handbreak later, after your upgrades being available.
I also contacted Marc Lyttle with my dilemma.

I do not understand. The main purpose of brasero is to burn discs from
data/audio/video not to make iso images. Maybe what you actually want to do is
rip the content of a blu-ray disc, in other words copy its content to an disc
drive like an SSD?
Anyway I downloaded, installed and started brasero using slapt-get with no
issue, and ldd /usr/bin/brasero|grep found came empty so there doesn't seem to
be missing dependencies, at least not shared libraries.
Further I do not know any application named "readom".
But as far as I know brasero can copy the content of CD or DVD but not blu-ray
discs (of which I have none I can't check) so if that's what you want to do
you'd be better off using makemkv or HandBrake
handbrake (all lower cases) is available from the alien repository so you can
get it using slapt-get if this repository is enaaled in
/etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc typing as root or using sudo:
slat-get -i handbrake
handrake has both a GUI, that you start typing ghb and a CLI that you start
typing HandBrakeCLI (case matters).
HnadBrakeCLI has a --help option, see also:

makemkv is available through slapt-get. It has also both has a GUI (command
makemkv) and a CLI (makemkvcon).
As the help text you can get just tying mkvmakecon is too terse I have also
built a package for Slint including a man page initially from Debian (although
Debian no more provide makemkv, probably because it includes a closed source
binary).
This package will be available tomorrow, included among a batch of updates
currently being slowly uploaded.
