{}-->I’m going to settle on November 16th, 1945. Here’s something I found from
The Film Daily, November 12, 1946. It was from their Coming and Going section:
The Saturday was November 16th. Interesting that this article said Sinatra
was flying but the Tribune article you posted said he came in by train. Thanks
again for the help. Scott Frank didn't like flying back then. He
loved to hop the train in New York, stopped in the Windy City for a few
days, and then travel on to L.A. He was still doing it in the 1960s. Here he is
arriving in Chicago, 12-28-43.

Maybe when the photo said 11/15/45 they meant 11/15/46. However your article
suggests it was November 16, 1946. I’ll keep looking but you’ve certainly help
narrow it down. Scott From: sinatraphiles-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I came across this article from October 19, 1947: I tried to do some follow up
to see when the first benefit dinner was in 1946. I haven’t been able to nail
down a date but I did find this photo and information: Frank Sinatra, Bobby
Breen, Willie Shore, Irv Kupcinet and Phil Regan all take part in entertaining
the guests attending Dr Jerome D Solomon Memorial Research Foundation dinner.
The auction site that was selling the above photo said it was an original press
photo from 11/15/45. I haven’t been able to confirm that date and the year
under the photo says 1946. If anyone has more information can they let me
know. Scott
