Viola (g), Max Bennett (g), Irv Cottler (d) recorded the basic track on
October 27, 1970
at Western Records in Hollywood (from 1 to 4pm).  The full orchestra
including the musicians who had recorded on October 27 recorded on 5/6
November 1970 (from 10am to 1:30 am)
at the same studio.  The vocal group recorded their part on November 6,
1970.

This one has always bugged me.  I can find no reference to Dorsey playing in
Pittsburgh on October 27, 1941.
I have checked Pittsburgh papers for that week and there was nothing about
Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra playing there that week.
He had played the Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh on October 6th and there had
been good press.
I find it odd that there would be no press for the October 27th engagement.
It could have been a private function or a University/College dance.
I checked the student newspaper "The Pitt" archives for the University of
Pittsburgh for that week but none of the editions mention Dorsey being in
town.

note: The Voice was now asking and getting
big money for theater appearances. The arena
shows set for January were sunk when the
local authorities in Pittsburgh and Philly
cracked down on the truant bobby-soxers.
The RKO in Boston was an unqualified
success, but the truancy and new theater
policies -- one show and out for the ticket-
buyers -- in Pittsburgh and Philly did serious
damage at the box office. The promoters got
cold feet and the planned arena tour was shelved.
