hang around for that many shows.

Ed O'Brien noted:
I have Frank discussing this engagement in 1959.
He wanted very much to play to an adult audience so
he accepted a meager, for him at the time, $800.00
per week. He told the interviewer he didn't like the
way the room was laid out. The audience on both
sides of the stage were too blocked from his view.
He made it a habit to always sing to the room and
felt frustrated by his inability to make eye contact
with many of the customers..

Fred also sent along the following information about the auction of the
original 78 in 2006:

"The auction of Sinatra's 1939 demon recording on a 12 inch 78 rpm disc
ended with a winning auction room bid of $14,000.  In answer to a query here
a few days ago:

The owners of this demo disc apparently made some tape copies and some 45
rpm copies some years ago - one of which was sent to Sinatra.
The single Sinatra track ('Our Love') appeared with other early Sinatra
recordings on a CD from England in John Ridgway's Archive series as "Sinatra
- The Beginning and Harry James" (JR Records FS 1939-2)
