note: I thought, at first, this was probably the recording done with Dorsey.
The song was released in early
November of 1942 and charted for 26 weeks. It was #1 for 8 consecutive weeks.
But then I did some
research on the AFRS series "News From Home." The half-hour program featured
live performances
by actors and singers and also offered the latest news from the states. A very
good chance Frank made
an appearance.
