Dan and HF, I hear it when I've not stopped playback with the space bar before moving around in the score. It's a habit I need to break. That's to say, JAWS checks to see if the properties window is open just before it opens. You only really need to worry if you keep getting the message even after pressing the arrow keys several times. do you find that the message about the properties window always gets spoken after you do a particular thing in the score? Were you playing the score by any chance? I'm constantly being asked to make sure that the property window is on. When I go to the Windows menu, it's checked.
