Dan,

You wrote: When you've finished editing the playback properties, press
Ctrl+Shift+Windows+Tab to go back to the score.

Shouldn't that be Ctrl+Windows+S?

Vytautas,

This is one of the things that changed in RC1. The old method was really
only a "hack" to quickly get round the problem of accessing playback
properties. The new method allows you to interact with Sibelius in a simlar
way to sighted users, which is always preferable.

Before going on, if you are getting an unknown script call when you press
Alt+F5 then the key map file from beta 1 must still be in one of the JAWS
folders and the old keystrokes are "bleeding" through even though they don't
exist in RC1. You need to remove the old beta 1 files from the JAWS folders.

As for editing playback properties, select the item and then move to the
properties window. (Ctrl+Windows+Tab cycles through the tool windows.)

Note that All of the keystrokes relating to the properties window are
Sibelius Access keystrokes, they are not provided by Sibelius itself.

The properties window has six panels which can be opened or closed. Pressing
Ctrl+Tab moves you to the buttons that open and close the panels and
pressing space on these buttons will open a closed panel or close an open
panel.

There is a limit to how many panels can be open at once so you may have to
close an open panel first before opening another. (Note that the general
panel should always be open. Once a panel is open, use Tab and Shift+Tab to
move round the controls as though it were an ordinary dialog.

The playback properties can be changed through the playback panel.

These options do not affect how the item appears on the page. So, changing
the upper note of a trill will not add the necessary accidental which must
be there for the performer.

When you've finished editing the playback properties, press
Ctrl+Shift+Windows+Tab to go back to the score.

Hi,

Is there a new shortcut for opening playbackproperties? It used to be
alt+f5, but now it is an unknown script call.

If I use it to manipulate trills, that will change the trill itself also or
just the way it is played?

Cheers

Vytautas
