Steph,
If you haven't yet shut down Sibelius, just go to the undelete history and
find where it was deleted, and undo just before that point.
Otherwise, I guess you can use staff text to put it back at that spot. Look
under create/text for the e appropriate types.

I'd just finished my score for our choir tonight. However, my husband
accidently deleted the abreviation for the piano part in bar 7.
Is this going to matter, or how do I fix this?
