Hi, The required version is 5.2.5 Pro and it should be possible to purchase this with an educational discount (note - this isn't the same as the student version, which will not work). I don't understand why you got that advice from Sibelius, as their policy is to provide V5.2.5 with a V6 purchase for visually-impaired customers. Our main contact within the company is currently on vacation, but please try to place an order via the UK sales line, as they are very aware of this issue and should be able to help organise things. The number is: +44 (0)800 458 3111 This would be a toll-free call within the UK, but it obviously won't be for you, I'm afraid. Please don't buy anything until you've talked to these guys. Best wishes. I have saved money for about three years to purchase software that will help me bring my music into the technology age. I called Sibelius to order a copy of 6 and ask for a disc of 5 to run with access explaining that I am totally blind and need the earlier version. They told me that they wouldn't send it because I wouldn't be able to register 5 with the cereal number on the box that would come with version 6. They suggested that I shop around for a version of 5. I've found some new in box copies. I am wondering if the academic version of sibelius 5 and access run together as well as the professional version of sebelius 5 and access? My husband is a teacher and I produce music for his and my children's classes so we qualify for the academic discount but I do not want to purchase something that isn't going to work. Been their done that! So my question is should I purchase the accademic version?
