I use the numbers mentioned without the shift. Those numbers add
rhythmic values, sharps, naturals, flats, and more if you use the F
number keys to switch from one setting to another.

keypad on the screen. As a totally blind person, I don't see how that's
possible. The short answer is, never forget your external keypad.
