I suggest you go back to an earlier version of JAWS on that Win 7 machine.
JAWS 17 started using different methods for its underlying operation and
I've noticed a difference in Sibelius, as well. I run Sibelius on my XP
machine with a JAWS version no higher than 13. Hopefully you will be able to
install a lower version of JAWS on that Win 7 machine, such as 12 or 13.
I don't know if you will need to uninstall JAWS 17 first, before installing
an older version. But I'm sure you can then install JAWS 17 in addition to
an older version. I have JAWS 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, and 18 on this Win 7
machine.

Subject: [sib-access] Sibelius 5.25 + Windows 7 + JAWS 17 Issue
Hi Dave.
I have an old computer with Win XP, Sib. 5.25 and JAWS 9, and it works
perfectly. Sib. reads the note names when I mark them. and the menus work
and respond when I select them.
I installed Win 7 and Sib 5.25 two years ago along with Access on my new
computer, and suddenly Sibelius doesn't read the note names (it does play
them) or read the text when I select it. Also the menus doesn't respond to
my commands. E.g. if i try to put a textbox under a note. Nothing happens.
Sibelius does read the menus, and the commands, but nothing happens, when I
select the menu.
What is up?
Sincerely
Jan Bruun
