Problem solved. I wanted a ped sign without continuation or asterisk and
here's the recipe for it.

Hi there
Here's a step-by-step:
Go to House Style>Edit Lines...
Find the Ped line with the asterisk after it, and select it. Click 'New'.
Say Yes to the warning dialog that appears.
In the Line dialog box that appears, find the section for the End of the
line (on the right) and untick the box for Symbol Click OK to dismiss the
Line dialog box. Click Close to dismiss the Lines dialog box.
Your new line is at the end of the list, and should work as you expect.
