Patricia,

Use the arrange feature. This is quite an extensive feature so I won't try
to summarise it. You can read all about it in the manual. It lets you select
a passage and then do a very special kind of paste which puts the notes on
different staves according to the kind of arrangement you want. It's very
useful if you're in a hurry and don't have time to carefully work out an
arrangement.
