hi,
finally i have succeeded in running the rlgc file, created by the
FieldSolver, and here are my conclusions:
when you run a FieldSolver in order to create an RLGC file that you can use
later, and you specify RLGCFILE=rlgc_filename.rlc in the .model command,
the Hspice doesn't create an RLGC file, but create an RLGC Model, and just
appends it to the file you specified. there are some syntax differences
between an RLGCFILE and an RLGCmodel, so the simplest solution, in my
opinion is just to take this file, and use the .include to call him to your
spice sim'. then when using the W element use the 'RLGCMODEL=...' and not
the 'RLGCFILE=..."
and again special thanks to you, matt.

Yoni:

Hi. Try this rlgc file. When you call the file via the rlcgfile =
xxxxxx.rlgc, the rlgc file must conform to a certain syntax. The field
solver doesn't put it out in this syntax, so I hand edit the file to make it
conform. I think it conforms (or must conform) to the old "U" element in
spice (off the top of my head).

- Comment out the .MODEL statement
- Insert the number of lines in the structure on a line before the array (in
your case, 12)
- Comment out the Lo, Co, Ro, Go, Rs, & Gd headers
- Remove the "=" sign between the header and the 1st element in the array
- start the array on the next line (i.e. insert a cr/lf)

This should work for you. Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Matt

Yoni:

Hi. Please send me your rlgc file. I'll take a look at it.

Yoni:

Hi. Put the N=12 number after the input and output nodes. I order the call
like this:

wcard cardsig1 cardsig2 cardsig3 cardsig4 cardsig5 cardsig6 cardsig7
+cardsig8 cardsig9 cardsig10 cardsig11 cardsig12 0
+cardout1 cardout2 cardout3 cardout4 cardout5 cardout6 cardout7 cardout8
+cardout9 cardout10 cardout11 cardout12 0 N=12 l='5*0.025'
+RLGCFILE=rlgc12.rlgc

Don't forget that "l" is in meters.

Regards,

Matt
