hi si gurus,
i'm very new to this si-list.Pl cope up with me if i say something wrong

i'm degining a digital output card which is outputting digital siganls of
amplitude 24 volts. for these 24 V signals ,return path is Gnd
trace of 16 mils width, 24 V power supply trace is also 16 mils width.
.i'm not using a seperate gnd plane or power plane for this 24 V power
supply signals on the board .These r coming through the connector. Also its
not possible to route 24 V ground trace near
to the each output signal so that return loop area will be
minimum. These output signals are low speed signals.
From the Black magic book i came to know that current density will not be
uniform on the siganl return path .It will be max near the signal trace.I
dont understand the consequence of this nonuniformity of current density
along the return path. Can it affect the ckt operation .

Any Suggestions/comments are welcome.
