Nico,

It sounds like you want an Numerically controlled oscillator (NCO). Take a
look at analog devices website. If you really need a JTAG interface, you
may need to implement that in an PLD. You will probably need some custom
logic depending on the target device anyhow.

Good luck,
Bryce

Importance: High

Dear all,
I'm searching after a clock generator that is in-system programmable via
JTAG.
Do you know such a device please send me some feedback.
I know that there are serial-programmable clock generators, but the output
frequences are depended of the input frequency of the device.
I want to have in my design a clock oscillator that is usable as
general-purpose, this means all possible frequences in a certain range must
be programmable.
I'm looking forward to receive some feedback.

Best regards,
Nico
