Thanks, Scott!
In your experience, what does it mean to have a phase delay plot be flat in
general, but with several very narrow "spikes" scattered across the band?
Thanks,

I really don't like group delay much, because it's a derivative function
and extremely sensitive to noise. The better metric is Phase Delay. Phase
delay should be reasonably flat for most interconnect. When it is not
flat, Phase Delay indicates that there are additional modes of propagation
that are becoming dominant, or that there is a strong coupled mode to
another structure.

Hi Experts,
Can someone help me remember why *group delay* is such a useful thing to
plot when sanity checking Touchstone data?
Thanks,
