[SI-LIST] Verifying parts of the channel Simulation

Hi All,

I have to set up a full channel simulation model for optimization purposes.
What I did in the past was to simulate each part of the channel (traces,
connectors, footprints...) and then I measured every single part to verify the
quality of the simulation model. If every part is ok, I combine them in a
circuit simulator. This works great for measurement channels, meaning an
SMA-to-SMA type of channel (acsessible end points).

Now I have to do the same for an existing Rack mount high speed backplane based
system (one that I didn't design). My big problem is, that I can not access the
endpoints, because of the BGAs that are soldered to the board, thus I'm not
sure how to measure the modules to verify the simulation.

Does anyone have good ideas?

I was already thinking about taking the BGA of the PCB and measure with probes,
but I don't hav e good rework station to do so.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Kind regards.
