The main problem we had with DC-DC converters on PCBs was the noise on the feed got into everything. LOTS of decoupling right at the input and a separate low impedance path to the connector power input pins was what it took to quite things down. Didn't seem to have any problems from the magnetics. We kept the signal traces away and used a 6 layer (sig-plane-sig-sig-plane-sig) stackup. ymmv. -Ivor Bob Perlman wrote: > Hi - > > For those of you who have worked with DC-DC converters, either the > bricks or SIPs: do you have any experience with running traces inside > the PCB under the magnetics?
