[Job Overview - for multiple teams] "SIPI and PDN Design Qualcomm Signal and
Power Integrity team has Intern positions for Summer of 2020. We are looking
for a Masters or PhD students in EE/ECE/CS. The positions will involve PDN
design methodology, signal and power integrity analysis on high-speed links,
including SERDES and DDR, as well as tools and automation for the same. There
will be a circuit to system focus with exposure to hardware systems and
firmware for high-speed links and PDN for high-speed cores like CPUs, GPUs and
Modems. We are looking for motivated candidates who can prove themselves in the
internship and join us full-time subsequently after graduation. Some of the
things we are looking for, include, but are not limited to: 1) Experience or
strong interest in the field of signal & power integrity and/or
electro-magnetic modeling. 2) Understanding of basic IO circuits, transmission
line & coupling theory, equalization, and frequency domain analysis, and/or
system PDN design on package and PCB. 3) Working knowledge of 3D
electro-magnetic field solvers and/or SPICE circuit simulators 4) Python
scripting skills preferred 5) Experience in lab measurements both oscilloscope
and VNA a plus 6) Experience in Hspice, ADS, Matlab/Simulink, Verilog, Perl &
C/C++ programming."
