In the USA we're approaching Thanksgiving, a time for reflection. My blog post "Signal Integrity in 150 B.C." at: http://signal-integrity.tm.agilent.com/2009/signal-integrity-in-150-b-c/ ...reflects on the ancient past. In contrast to today where the most sophisticated machines are electronic, in 150 B.C. they were precision gear-wheel devices whose signal integrity problems were no doubt those of play and backlash. The only surviving relic is the Antikythera mechanism, and recent research has revealed some of its secrets. It's a little off-topic, but I hope you enjoy its story as I did.
