I think there is lot of difference between undershoot & ringback.
Undershoot is a condition in which signal crosses the absolute minimum
value expected(specified in datasheet). Whereas Ringing is condition in
which signal while going from high to low or low to high rings
(something like a sinusoidal wave) and then settles down to a definite
level.=0D

Ringing is not a problem as long as it is happening above Vih (min) &
below Vil (min). But if during ringing, signal tries to go into the
undefined state (region b/w Vih (min) & Vil (min)) during high period or
low period, then that it is definetly a problem as it can simply confuse
the receiver & operation might not be gurranted.

Ringback is just another name for undershoot. I don't know why someone
had to invent another name for something that already had a name.

When you have undershoot and you use series terminations, the terminator
value it too high or the output impedance of the driver is too high.
When you have undershoot and you use parallel terminations, the value of
the terminator is too low. Fix which ever problem you have by changing
the value appropriately.
