Hello Vinod, You have your finger on the pulse. Here is a good start for info on AMI: "The AMI approach breaks SERDES device modeling into two parts - electrical and algorithmic. The combination of the transmitter's analog back-end, the serial channel and the receiver's analog front-end are assumed to be linear and time invariant. There is no limitation that the equalization has to be linear and time invariant." You can read further at http://www.eda.org/ibis/ver6.0/ver6_0.pdf (chapter 10). Thanks, Ambrish Varma. I have used IBIS models in past but there are models available like AMI etc. Can anyone give a brief to get me starting with this?
