[SI-LIST] Question about RC termination

Hi,
I have read somewhere (but don't remember where) that for an AC
termination, with resistance R and capacitance C, the resistor must be
connected to ground and capacitance connected to signal line.
Is is true (because we often find the opposite in litterature) and what
is the reason for that?

Thank you.
