It is interesting to note that another way to utilize the .idd file contents (e.g. the listing of drivers / receivers and the associated network delays) is to import the data into the Microsoft Excel program. A spreadsheet can then be generated for ascertaining the common clock and/or source synchronous setup and hold timing margins.. Effects of TIME_TO_VM needs to be taken into consideration when appraising the IDD results. With the V(m) correction Enabled, XNS will subtract driver TIME_TO_VM and report the corrected delays in .idd (also in .rep and .gen) file. Such TIME_TO_VM correction (to prevent double counting of buffer intrinsic delay) can prove critical when flight time values are to be used for setup and hold margin computations. Above techniques should be applicable to XTK files extracted from a PCB data base generated by the VeriBest or by other EDA tools such as Allegro, PADS, etc. I hope you find this information helpful.
