You wouldn't have to "apologize in advance" if you didn't do what is clearly not allowed on si-list. Vendors (be they hardware, software, books, or whatever) shouldn't utilize si-list as a marketing venue. Almost without exception, the other 4000+ subscribers to si-list abide by this rule. Unfortunately some feel that rules are for everyone else..... It is one thing for a reader to recommend a book to others on the list, but quite another for the author/publisher/vendor to blatantly make a not so thinly veiled sales pitch (along with a free audio cable to sweeten the deal). Don't do it !!
