PDN simulation - How to calculate the trans-impedance ? I_pin or I_VRM = N_pins
x I_pin
Hi all,
the IC data sheet has no spec about the PDN trans-impedance, so we need to
calculate the value.
The max. ripple (5 %), supply voltage (U = 1 V) and the current at the IC power
pins I_pin are known.
The total current at the VRM (voltage regulator module) is I_vrm = N_pins x
I_pin.
N_pins is the number of the IC power pins.
How to calculate the trans-impedance between the VRM and each IC power pin ?
With the total current @ the VRM or with the I_pin at each individual IC power
pin ?
Best regards
