You will find two such papers on the UltraCAD Web site
http://www.ultracad.com

One is titled "90 Degree Corners: The Final Turn"  This "tried" to 
put the nail in the coffin.

The other is a humor article on "Flying Electrons" (talking about how 
electrons fly off the sharp corners and how we caught them with 
electron grabbers and returned them to their respective planes.)

I commend them both!
