Hi, The two things that you need to determine for this issue is whether you are looking for a 5/6( lead can be used for soldering on board) or a 6/6 compliance(soldering lead also exempted). In case lead is also exempted than the temperature for soldering would increase to say 260 degrees Celsius. Hope that helps, Ravindra -----Original Message----- From: si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chandra Kanth Sent: Friday, January 13, 2006 11:40 AM To: si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [SI-LIST] Re: OT: RoHS and Lead > Hi all, > > > I too Have a question regarding this topic. > > If a board have both RoHS and Non-RoHS components, then will that effect > layout. What are the precautions should be taken while doing layout? Will > there be any change in manufacturing process, > > Reagrds, > Chandra Knath > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Martin Euredjian" <ecinema@xxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Friday, January 13, 2006 4:39 AM > Subject: [SI-LIST] OT: RoHS and Lead > > > Excuse the OT post, but I figured people in this group may have an answer > for this odd question: > > In transitioning to RoHS, can you mix Lead-free parts into a standard PbSn > process?
