FYI,

GigaTest Labs is introducing a new class on high speed board design.
This class is a two-day class to be held in Sunnyvale, CA, on November
6 and 7, and is taught by Dr. Eric Bogatin of GigaTest. Early
enrollment
price is $1,250 per student. If you're interested, you can go to our
website,

===================

GTL250, High Speed Board Design, covers many of the important signal
integrity and EMI design principles for boards and systems operating
at 100 MHz and above. You will be guided through many of the subtle
and non obvious effects of sub nanosecond rise times propagating
through printed circuit boards, connectors and IC packages. Topics
include terminations and simulations, routing and layout topologies,
lossy lines and material properties, cross talk and terminations,
differential circuits, how to minimize switching noise, optimizing the
impedance of the power distribution network and designing out EMI
problems.

This course is suitable for engineers at all levels of experience. If
you are not comfortable with concepts of characteristic impedance,
inductance, cross talk or differential impedance, you might want to
consider taking GTL122 Fundamental Principles of Signal Integrity,
also offered by GigaTest Labs.
