Tom,
Thanks for doing it the right way. An excellent example for other authors.
Makes me much more inclined to buy the book.
Ken

Subject: [SI-LIST] New 2004 textbook out on high-speed design and signal
integrity

Ray Anderson has informed me that a one-time posting of the following
announcement would be appropriate and informative for SI-List members:

“*Handbook of Digital Techniques for High-Speed Design*: */Design
Examples, Signaling and Memory Technologies, Fiber Optics, Modeling and
Simulation to Ensure Signal Integrity/,”* by Tom Granberg. Textbook was
developed under contract with publisher Prentice-Hall and is sold
worldwide. 928 pages.

This handbook is the broadest discussion of actual high-speed devices
and real-world technologies in use today for designing multi-Gigahertz
boards and systems. Book includes design and simulation examples and
discusses SerDes, WarpLink, Bus LVDS, HSTL, SSTL, GigaPro, GigaComm,
CML, and fiber optic X-modules. It also includes designing with DDR,
QDR, XDR, ODR, GDDR3, SigmaRAM, FCRAM, RLDRAM, and XDR DRAM. It presents
jitter masks, eye diagrams, IBIS modeling, constraint management, design
flows and EDA tools, mesh and fabric point-to-point backplane
architectures, differential and mixed-mode S-parameters, TDR/TDT,
RapidIO, PCI-Express, and EOCBs (electrical optical circuit boards).
