Hello Everyone,
Last week at EPEPS in San Diego we have proposed improvements in the Short
Pulse Propagation (SPP) technique for the dielectric and conductor roughness
model identification. The SPP technique was originally introduced by IBM in
early 90-s and standardized by the IPC [IPC-TM-650]. Two modifications of SPP
are suggested in our paper - simple low-cost "SPP Light" with the frequency
range up to 20 GHz (based on TDR/TDT) and SPP Light with S-parameters and the
frequency range up to 50 GHz (for labs with VNAs). The paper and presentation
with some preliminary results are now available at

feedback.
Best regards,
Yuriy
