You will be responsible for signal integrity simulation and analysis for
storage system designs and expected to work closely with hardware and PCB
design engineering for developing next-generation cost-sensitive, high
performance and high volume storage systems.




Description

The Signal Integrity Engineer needs to have extensive experience in x86
based board designs, Serial links (such as PCIe, MIPI, and DisplayPort).

Responsibilities includes:

- SI modeling, simulation, and characterization for all high speed
serial interfaces and power distribution network
- Perform feasibility study, design verification, and sign off
- Provide feedback to board design group for improvement
- Create design guides and routing rules for specific interfaces
- Develop channel models and perform model to hardware correlation
- Develop test plans to validate signal integrity
- Understand the impact of channel loss, reflection, crosstalk, and
supply noise

Qualifications

Working as part of an innovative global design and development team
delivering best in class storage controllers you will have:



Required Skill Set:

- Ideally degree qualified in electrical / electronic engineering with
typically 10+ years relevant hardware experience.
- Experience in the actual product package/board design and analysis,
PI/SI methodology development, and lab correlation/validation of the
simulation results.
- Familiar with lab equipment, such as VNA, TDR, real-time scope,
spectrum analyzer
- Deep knowledge in 3D/2D EM simulation tools and transmission line
theory
- High-speed board and PCB design experience
- Team work and good Detailed knowledge of several of the following
interface technologies DDR 1,2,3; FDR, QDR, FSB 1333, PCIe Gen1,2,3; SMBus,
QPI
- Candidate will need to be confident, enthusiastic and self driven.
