engineer with indepth system interconnect knowledge.  Below is a more

The job requires your physical presence in either Sunnyvale, CA. or
Hillsboro, OR.  In Oregon, Intel and Tektronix are nearby and the office is
12 miles from downtown Portland.

PRODUCT DEFINER / CORPORATE APPLICATIONS  --- SWITCHES AND ROUTERS
(Sunnyvale, CA or Hillsboro, OR)
Define leading edge analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits and chipsets
for applications such as gigabit ethernet switches (stackable and chassis
based), terabit routers and multi-protocol routers.  Work with customers and
Maxim IC design engineers to develop leading edge solutions which take
advantage of Maxim?s state-of-the-art SiGe, complementary bipolar, and
BiCMOS processes.  Job responsibilities include equipment studies, product
definition, and working with customers to get your circuits designed into
next generation equipment.  Detailed application and design knowledge of
signal integrity issues at 2.5Gbps data rates and above is required.  The
candidate should be intimate with the various cable, connector, and PCB
impairments that cause signal integrity issues as well as understand the
practical methods of dealing with these impairments.   MSEE with at least 5
years of applicable experience is required.  Experience working as a LAN
system or board-level designer is a plus.
