[SI-LIST] Internal inductance model

Dear All,

I have question about extracting the internal inductance effect. Someone
said it could be modelled over a limited freq range. The effect could
presumably be represented by an electromagnetic simulator. If you want to
simulate the circuit including non-linear effects and predict power supply
conditions, the model needs to be representative over the full frequency
range. Has anyone done this?

One hazard I can see is that the skin effect representation in the EM
simulator may be an approximation. Another is that Cadence for example can
use broad-band s-parameters but may have a limitation on the conversion to
the required polynomial for Transient analysis.

Cheers
Geoff
