[SI-LIST] IPC Design Certification

This is not a direct si question but being certified in knowing PCB designs.
How many of you are familiar with becoming certified as a IPC Designer and
recommend it? Details of IPC can be found at http://dc.ipc.org/index.html .
I never see job position requirements reference to it or here references to
it. I have had a few PCB consultant recommend it.
