Hi Hakim,
The best way to validate an EDA tool is use a benchmark board, something
like the channel modeling platform CMP-28 from Wild River Technology
www.wildrivertech.com - see how it can be done at webinars #4 and #5 at
http://www.simberian.com/Webinars.php Such platforms can be used to
validate manufacturing, measurement technique and the analysis in EDA tool -
the example of the analysis validation can be found at
http://www.simberian.com/Presentations/CMP-28_Simbeor_Kit_Guide.pdf ;
To have confidence, the validation approach should be systematic - starting
from the material model validation or identification and identification of
the manufacturing adjustments. Also, to see the tool limitations, it is
really important to do the analysis of all structures on the test board
without "tool calibration" for each particular structure.
Best regards,
Yuriy

Subject: [SI-LIST] FW: SI Analysis Project
Hi All,
I'm a graduate engineer with some experience in RF PA design and currently
trying to explore SI simulators for high speed digital, preferably using
ADS, as the learning curve won't be as steep.
I'm looking for some ideas for a project to test ADS's new SIPI Pro
simulator. However, I'm still new to and learning about the HSD world, so
nothing too complicated :)
I essentially want to have two PCB designs; one designed with high-speed
digital guidelines in mind, and the other without. Then fabricate the
design after the simulation to compare the results.
Thanks in advance!
