Hi All, Regarding e-mail etiquette: Until Doug's note I believed my out-of-office auto-replies were being blocked by the corporate firewall. I certainly was surprised by the comments. Newly enlightened, I ran an experiment today. Instead of using Outlook's "Out of Office" assistant, I set up a rule which applies to e-mails directed to me: the server will send a pre-written "out of office" e-mail back to the sender. E-mails sent to a distribution of which I am a member (such as "si-list") will not get the autoresponse. My "test" e-mail seemed to work effectively (although I did appreciate the pain of the multitude of auto-replies, some are pretty funny). I don't think Ray's modification will affect this result, but perhaps the effort is no longer necessary. And "hi" to those in the industry who remember me! I'm still alive and kicking. I hope you're all doing well.
