Hi Amit-- Others have listed some great books on these subjects; you may find the following helpful for some basics: http://blogs.mentor.com/hyperblog/blog/2012/10/08/emi-problems-are-easier-to-fix-than-you-might-think/ I find a lot of radiation and susceptibility issues come from specific design practices related to return current paths. You can certainly simulate those cases to quantify how bad they really are, but you may just end up determining "Okay, that's a bad idea". Another method to attack the problem is to pinpoint those structures (things like traces crossing splits, or signal vias without nearby return vias) using an automated board inspection tool, such as HyperLynx DRC, and eliminating them from your design: http://www.mentor.com/pcb/hyperlynx/electrical-rule-check/ http://www.mentor.com/pcb/multimedia/stop-wasting-time-reviewing-your-pcb-designs --Pat -----Original Message----- From: si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Amit Kumar Sent: Wednesday, August 14, 2013 6:15 AM To: si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [SI-LIST] EMI/ESD tool Hello Experts, Do we have any tool for testing EMI/ESD issues? Also, please provide me some literature on root causes of EMI/ESD.
