I am a Dell SI manager in Austin, Texas (not a recruiter). I have
several new job openings within the SI team here, as we expand our team
to cover increasingly complex problems. At Dell in Austin, we are
involved with the in-house design of PC Servers. The SI team works with
a larger board design team that is responsible for all aspects of
electronic design of motherboards, SAS backplanes, PCI Express risers,
and many smaller boards. We also are working on a new blade product
that has significant SI challenges. If you are looking for a new

Here's a description of one of the job openings.
The responsibilities for this position include
assisting in development and qualification electrical design constraints
defining layout requirements, which ensure signal integrity for server
and storage products. Duties include resolving conflicting layout
requirements, working with Development Engineers, ECAD, and Electrical
Analysis. Additional duties include working with suppliers and
development/extended team members to identify and resolve issues
impacting a program's ability to successfully ship and meet Dell's
quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Acquire and develop models, ensure the
accuracy of models used for simulation.
- Assist in analysis of electrical interconnect
and simulate to define a solution space.
- Develop test plans to validate Signal
Integrity signaling
- Execute test plans using lab measurement
equipment.
- Understand transmission line and
electromagnetic field theory.
- Proficient in verbal and written
communication.
- Able to organize and manage multiple projects,
setting priorities and working independently under aggressive timelines
- Experience with IBIS and SPICE simulation
tools. Experience with SpecctraQuest and HSPICE a plus
- Experience with 2D, 3D or High Frequency Field
Solvers a plus.
- BSEE required
